McMinnville Area Habitat For Humanity is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. MacHabitat’s mission is to bring people together to build homes, community, and hope. We envision a community where everyone has a safe, decent, affordable place to live.

Founded in 1991, McMinnville Area Habitat for Humanity has built 72 homes with families in the greater McMinnville area. Fifty-nine of these homes were built in McMinnville, six in Lafayette, three in Sheridan, one in Willamina, and one in Amity. We partner with families that live or work in the communities of McMinnville, Amity, Carlton, Grand Ronde, Lafayette, Sheridan, Willamina, and Yamhill.

We have also started a Ramps/Rails/Repairs Program: an opportunity for low-income homeowners to repair and rehabilitate their homes through homeowner grants, affordable loans and volunteer power.

Our Core Values:

At McMinnville Area Habitat for Humanity, our Board of Directors and Staff commit to Serve with Duty and Purpose.

  • We do this by empowering homeowners and homeownership through an environment of growth and change.
  • We commit to serve compassionately in an inclusive, just environment.
  • We are guided by ethics and morals that reflect transparency, cooperation, responsibility, and trust.
  • We accomplish this from our positions as a trusted team in the community.
