Save the Date!
The planning for the 7th Annual R/W/R is underway, and we are hoping to make it even better than last year. This is the McMinnville Habitat for Humanity’s biggest fundraiser, and the profits all go to helping people, who now live in sub-standard housing in our county, purchase a home. Routes for walking will include choices of a 2.5 mile, a 4 mile, a 9 mile, and a 13 mile. Bikers have a 28 mile course that winds through the gorgeous countryside. Everyone agrees that it is a fantastic community event, beginning and ending at the high school track. Participating is a great time to visit with friends and family, plus for the more ambitious runners and walkers, it’s a perfect opportunity to get in shape for the Portland Marathon that follows in a couple of weeks.
This year we want to add to our list of loyal sponsors. Extra publicity and other perks are being offered. We are thrilled to welcome Willamette Valley Medical Center as our first $1000 sponsor.
In order to provide incentives for entrants to collect pledges, we are offering some impressive rewards. Levels include gift certificates from favorite stores to a weekend at McMenamin’s. There’s lots of excitement to look forward to this fall, so Mark Your Calendars for the Run/Walk/Ride!
7th Annual Run, Walk or Ride for Habitat
This event is our largest fundraiser for the McMinnville Habitat organization. Every cent will go directly to our mission of offering affordable housing for families. Mac Habitat has built 32 houses and currently there are five more homes under construction.
There will be 5 route options, including a 28 mile bike route. Get in shape for the Portland Marathon, or just enjoy walking or running through Historical Downtown McMinnville and out into the countryside. There are choices of a 2.5 mile, a 4 mile, a 9 mile, a half marathon, and the 28 mile bike route. Bring the family and enjoy this wonderful community event.
